This is just a gimmicky tool mostly. It's kind of cheaply made (all plastic, no premium material or feel) and pretty basic in function. Yes, it does heat up and in fact if people don't read the instructions or warnings one can very easily burn themselves to a 2nd degree. Anyway - the scraping edge is blunted well so that is a plus. It does the scraping job with more than sufficient heat. If you are into massage tools then I can see why some may want this in their tool box, as an option.

I wish I bought this tool sooner, thankful I bought the 2 pack - there’s 3 of us athletes in our household using them everyday. Great relief and recovery on calves/legs, neck strain - there’s heat and vibrate features are a great way to really optimize the purpose.
